Lincoln-Way West will host Victor J. Andrew High School on Friday, Sept. 12, in what shapes up as the Warriors’ first major conference test of the season.
The matchup comes in Week 3, following nonconference games that set the tone for West’s early campaign. The Warriors enter with confidence after displaying a balanced attack and steady defense in the opening weeks. Coaches have praised the team’s depth across the roster, emphasizing the importance of execution in close contests.
Lincoln-Way West will stay at home with an experienced lineup anchored by a strong presence in the trenches, where the Warriors look to establish control on both sides of the ball. Offensive contributors bring speed and versatility to create scoring opportunities, while defenders highlight a physical unit capable of dictating momentum throughout the game.
For Lincoln-Way West, the keys will be establishing the run game, protecting the quarterback, and containing Andrew’s ability to generate explosive plays. With conference positioning already in play, the Warriors view the contest as an opportunity to measure themselves against a seasoned opponent and set momentum for the weeks ahead.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Warrior Stadium.
