Lincoln-Way West Warriors defeated the Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers in a home conference clash on Senior Night, pulling off a straight-set victory 25-23, 25-18.
The match took place on May 14 inside the Warriors’ gym, where the energy of Senior Night added extra fire to the contest.
Lincoln-Way West entered the evening with a 19-14 record, while Bradley-Bourbonnais came in at 5-21, and the Warriors wasted little time asserting control. The opening set was a nail-biter, with the seniors rallying late to edge out a 25-23 win. In the second set, momentum carried forward as the Warriors tightened their defense and found rhythm on offense, closing out the match 25-18 to seal the sweep.
Senior leadership was on full display. Mason Thompson (#4) delivered 8 kills and 8 digs, while setter Aidan Kettelson (#10) orchestrated the attack with 14 assists, adding 4 digs, 2 kills, and 3 aces. Drew Villalobos (#5) chipped in 4 kills, 6 digs, and 2 blocks, while Ryan Czernik (#7) added 5 kills and 3 blocks. Eli Nelson (#16) contributed 2 kills and 2 blocks, and Carter Mooi (#17) anchored the net with 3 blocks and a dig.
