Lincoln-Way West emerged victorious over Joliet Central with a 53-46 win in a nonconference boys basketball game.
The match occurred on November 28, at 3:30 p.m.
According to the report, Lincoln-Way West improved their record to 2-1, thanks to a strong offensive performance by Drake Been. He led the Warriors with 17 points and successfully made five three-pointers, providing crucial momentum swings throughout the contest as West sought to create separation from the Steelmen.
Luke Gouty contributed an additional 10 points, offering the Warriors another reliable scoring option and helping maintain control during key second-half possessions. Joliet Central posed a challenge with physical defense and periodic scoring runs; however, the Warriors responded to each push with timely shot-making and disciplined execution.
According to observers, Lincoln-Way West’s defense tightened in the later stages of the game, limiting second-chance opportunities and forcing contested shots as Joliet Central attempted to rally.
