The Lincoln Way West Warriors faced a defeat against Normal Community with a score of 67-43 in a non-conference game on Friday night.
With this loss, the Warriors’ record for the season fell to 17-7. According to the game statistics, Ava Tisch led Lincoln Way West in scoring with 10 points, while Molly Finn contributed 9 points. Despite these strong individual performances, the team struggled to contain Normal Community’s offense, which established a significant lead early in the game. The Warriors were unable to recover as Normal Community maintained control throughout the second half.
“We had some good moments, but we couldn’t get stops when we needed to,” said Warriors head coach Ryan White. He added that they would learn from this game and focus on improving their execution moving forward.
White indicated that the Warriors will now look ahead to their next game as they aim to bounce back from the loss and continue their push for the postseason.
