The Lincoln-Way West Girls Varsity Bowling team delivered a commendable performance at the Rock & Roll Invitational during the winter break, securing second place. The Warriors improved their score by more than 500 pins from the previous year, achieving a total of 5,469.
Despite a slower start, the team demonstrated resilience with five consecutive games scoring over 900, culminating in a high score of 977 in the final game.
According to the team’s performance records, Madison Tippett led Lincoln-Way West by finishing eighth overall with a series score of 1,151, averaging 191.8 per game. Paige DeBella followed closely with a series score of 1,143 and an average of 190.5. Additionally, Allison Whalen contributed significantly with a high game score of 232.
The Warriors’ strong finish in this competitive field represents another step forward in what has been a successful season thus far. The team aims to maintain this momentum into their next match against Lincoln-Way East on Saturday, January 4. With their performance at the Rock & Roll Invitational serving as motivation, the Warriors are prepared to pursue further victories in upcoming matches.
