The Associated Press has released its first statewide high school football polls of 2024, and the Lincoln-Way West Warriors are ranked sixth in Class 7A.
The 2-0 Warriors rank behind top-ranked Chicago Mt. Carmel (1-1 record), Batavia (2-0), Downers Grove North (2-0), Chicago Brother Rice (1-1) and St. Charles North (2-0).
Bradley-Bourbonnais (2-0) is ranked in a tie for 10th in 7A; the Warriors host the Boilermakers in Week 9, on Oct. 25.
Other future Warriors’ opponents ranked include Naperville Central (2-0/Ranked 7th in 8A) and Homewood-Flossmoor (2-0/10th in 8A).
