Lincoln-Way West girls’ badminton team demonstrated resilience on Tuesday night, securing a 4-4 tie against Bolingbrook. The match was marked by a strong doubles performance from Gianna Vlastelica and Avary Shinovich, which provided early momentum for the Warriors. In singles play, Jess Dakin, Ava MacFarlane, and Maura Sabo each secured victories, showcasing the team’s depth and individual skill.
According to head coach Chris Hack, Lincoln-Way West exhibited a competitive edge throughout the match. “This is the kind of performance that defines us,” Hack said. “We played with heart, and it showed.”
The Warriors are building momentum this season with a combination of experienced leaders and emerging talent. They aim to convert close contests into decisive victories as they continue their campaign later this week.
