Warriors Girls Freshman Swimmers Capture Oak Forest Invite Title

0Comments

Lincoln-Way West High School’s freshman girls swimming team emerged victorious at the Oak Forest Invitational on Thursday night, amassing 132 points to secure the win. The event featured 12 teams and was held at Oak Forest High School.

According to a team spokesperson, “They raced hard and supported one another from start to finish.” The Warriors demonstrated their depth and speed across multiple events in this junior varsity-level meet, achieving one of the program’s most notable early-season performances by surpassing rival schools from the south suburbs.

The victory holds particular significance for Lincoln-Way West as they sought to challenge their underclassmen against larger programs. The team’s performance set a strong precedent for the rest of the season. They are scheduled to compete again next week as they aim to maintain their momentum. With conference competition approaching later this month, Lincoln-Way West is poised to build on Thursday’s success.
