Lincoln-Way West’s girls gymnastics team hit their best form during the Illinois High School Association Regional meet, scoring 174.05 to win the championship.
The Warriors, who have been building momentum all year, peaked at the perfect time, showcasing consistency and excellence. The team will now advance to the Sectionals.
The program’s official Facebook page summed up the achievement with pride.
“Congrats to L-W Girls Gymnastics on their season high team score of 174.05 and winning the 2026 IHSA Regional! On to Sectionals!”
The Regional crown is the latest highlight in what has already been a standout season for Lincoln-Way West. Earlier in the year, the Warriors swept the Southwest Suburban Conference (SWSC) titles at both varsity and junior varsity levels.
With Sectionals looming, Lincoln-Way West enters the next stage of the postseason with confidence and momentum. The Warriors will face some of Illinois’ top programs, but their regional performance suggests they are ready to contend. For a team that has already claimed conference and Regional titles, the opportunity to compete for a spot at the IHSA State Finals is both a challenge and a chance to further cement their place among the state’s elite.
