LW West’s girls varsity badminton team achieved a commendable second-place finish at a tournament held on Saturday, April 12.
According to the competition results, the Warriors scored 13 points overall, defeating Romeoville 5-3 and Argo 5-1 in consecutive matchups. Despite their strong performance, Lincoln-Way West fell short in their final match against Reavis, losing 3-5 in a closely contested battle that ultimately determined the tournament standings.
The team demonstrated consistent performances across both singles and doubles play, showcasing depth and determination throughout the day. The victories over Romeoville and Argo highlighted the team’s growing strength and strategy. Meanwhile, the loss to Reavis served as a learning experience as they continue their spring season.
