Warriors strong in 11-1 triumph over Stagg

Lincoln-Way West varsity softball secured an 11-1 victory over Stagg on Monday, advancing their record to 19-9 for the season and 7-6 in SouthWest Suburban Conference play.

According to the team’s performance report, Reese Cusack led the team with a notable 3-for-4 performance at the plate, hitting two home runs and driving in six RBIs while scoring three runs. The Warriors’ offense was described as relentless, with Cusack’s power hitting setting the tone throughout the game.

Kaylea Armstrong contributed to the offensive surge by going 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and three runs scored. Erin Quigley achieved a perfect record at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Reese Forsythe also went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored.

Reese Rourke and Jess Noga added solid performances, combining for four hits and four runs between them. The Warriors’ strong offense overwhelmed Stagg early, securing the mercy-rule victory in five innings. Lincoln-Way West is set to continue their momentum as they return home Wednesday for a matchup against Lincoln-Way East at 4:30 p.m.
