Lincoln-Way West’s boys varsity volleyball team secured a decisive victory against Bradley on Thursday night, winning in straight sets with scores of 25-6 and 25-13 at their home venue.
According to the team’s performance, the Warriors controlled both sets from start to finish, demonstrating a balanced attack and strong serving game. This win improves Lincoln-Way West’s overall record to 18-15 for the season.
Mason Thompson led the offensive efforts with four kills. Luke Srebro and Colin Dargan each contributed three kills, while David Neylon added two kills. Colin Baikie also made an impact with three additional kills, and Drew Kregul along with Dain Mason each provided a kill.
The Warriors’ passing and serving were notably effective. Ryne Ferree recorded five assists and four aces, while Aidan Kettelson achieved a team-high of seven assists, facilitating efficient ball distribution across the front line.
The match began with Lincoln-Way West setting an early tone by cruising to a 25-6 win in the opening set. The team maintained its momentum into the second set, closing out the match with a 25-13 win to complete the sweep. The Warriors aim to carry this momentum forward as they strive for consistency in the final stretch of their season.
