Metea Valley opened in 2010 and has made the IHSA playoffs once in 14 seasons– in 2014 when Mustangs went 5-5. In its last six full seasons, the Mustangs have won one game four times and gone winless once.
In 2021, Metea Valley won the state 3A girls’ soccer title posting a 22-2-1 record, as well as the stte 4A girls volleyball title, going 40-2.
Metea Valley assistant coach Paul Parpet coached 30 years at Addison Trail and is a member of the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association and Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Halls of Fame. He was the Blazers’ baseball coach from 1990-2010 and its football coach for 28 years, compiling a 158-122 record and two state runner-up finishes (1983 and 1997).
Paul Parpet has been Hinsdale Central’s varsity girls bowling head coach since 2015.
