The Lincoln-Way West girls varsity bowling team experienced their first defeat of the season, narrowly losing to Lockport Township by nine pins in a closely contested match on Tuesday, December 17.
According to the match results, Lockport Township secured the opening game with a score of 925 against West’s 893. The Warriors made a strong comeback in the second game, winning 896 to 873, which kept them in contention. Despite their efforts, West’s total score of 1789 fell just short of Lockport’s 1798, resulting in a narrow victory for the visitors.
The Warriors demonstrated resilience throughout the match, with significant contributions from all team members. Although they were narrowly defeated, their performance reinforced their status as one of the leading teams in the area.
Lincoln-Way West aims to recover in their next match and continue building on their promising start to the season.
