Lincoln-Way West graduate and current Benedictine University (BU) quarterback Evan Wydajewski threw for 87 yards and a touchdown on 9-for-10 passing to lead the Eagles to a 42-0 road victory over the Eureka College Red Devils on Oct. 26.
Wydajewski’s lone touchdown pass of the game was a 24-yarder that went to wide receiver Sebastian Hill, who finished with three receptions and 46 receiving yards for BU.
A native of New Lenox, IL, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound Wydajewski has been a member of the Eagles football team since his freshman season in 2021. The senior has played in five games so far in the 2024 season, crafting a line of 63 passes completed on 104 attempts for 741 yards, seven touchdowns, and an interception.
BU’s win over Eureka ended a four-game skid that dated back to Sept. 28. The Eagles are 4-4 overall and 2-4 in conference play.
They’ll travel to Aurora, IL, for a Nov. 2 matchup against the Aurora University Spartans.
