Lincoln-Way boys lacrosse team delivered a decisive performance on Saturday, defeating Dunlap High School 13-4 in a non-conference match.
According to the report, from the opening faceoff, the Warriors maintained complete control, demonstrating their depth, speed, and precision on both ends of the field. Senior attackman Chris Biel led with a hat trick, setting an early tone for Lincoln-Way West’s offense. Seniors Nate Uloswech and Matt Konow each contributed two goals, with Uloswech also providing an assist. Junior Brayden Nelson and sophomore Collin Kannenberg added two goals each as well.
Juniors Matt Gade and Gavin Vasquez also scored, with Gade adding an assist. Junior Carter Krynski recorded two assists, while senior Dylan Thorpe added one to support the team's unselfish ball movement. Sophomore Logan Yerkey excelled at faceoffs, winning 70% of his draws to help maintain possession throughout the game. In goal, junior Logan Lahey made four saves on eight shots.
Head coach Andrew Jackson praised his team’s performance: "We stayed locked in and set the tone right away," he said. "Everyone contributed, and that’s what makes this group special." The victory advances Lincoln-Way West to a 2-0 record for the season as they aim for postseason success. The Warriors will return to action next week.
