Lincoln-Way West's girls soccer team secured a 3-2 victory over Lemont on Saturday, April 26, with senior Katelyn Mrozowski delivering an impressive performance.

Mrozowski led the Warriors by scoring two goals and providing one assist, driving the team's offense throughout the match. She initiated the scoring early in the first half with a breakaway goal against Lemont's goalkeeper. Later, she added a second goal midway through the second half to help secure the win.

According to reports, Reagan White also played a significant role in Lincoln-Way West’s success, contributing one goal and one assist. White scored late in the first half from a cross delivered by Mrozowski, extending Lincoln-Way West’s lead. Kiersten White also recorded an assist by setting up Mrozowski’s second goal with a well-placed through ball.

Despite Lemont's late effort, which saw them score two goals in the second half, Lincoln-Way West maintained their lead for the victory. Strong defensive plays and timely saves were crucial in preserving their advantage during the closing minutes.

With this win, Lincoln-Way West improved its season record to 6-5. The Warriors aim to maintain their momentum as they approach a busy period of conference play. They are set to face a challenging opponent on the road next week.
