Lincoln-Way West’s offense erupted again Saturday in a 12-2 win over Plainfield Central, boosting the Warriors’ record to 13-4 on the season.
Jess Noga led the offensive charge, going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two home runs, a double, four RBIs and three runs scored. Reese Rourke delivered another standout performance, finishing 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, four RBIs and two runs scored.
Madi Lukasik went 3-for-4 with a home run, driving in one run and scoring three times. Reese Cusack added to the long-ball total with a solo home run in a 1-for-2 effort. Abby Brueggmann contributed two hits, a double, two runs scored and a stolen base, while Reese Forsythe chipped in with a double, an RBI and a stolen base.
The Warriors’ bats remained hot throughout the game, building a lead early and continuing to add on, overwhelming Plainfield Central. The win marked Lincoln-Way West’s second consecutive game scoring 12 runs and showcased the team’s deep and consistent lineup.
The Warriors return to action Monday with a road matchup against Lincoln-Way East. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. as conference play continues.
