Lincoln-Way West’s varsity girls soccer team delivered a dominant performance Monday night, defeating Stagg 4-1 in a home conference matchup.
Four different players found the back of the net for the Warriors. Senior forward Natalie Borchert opened the scoring, followed by goals from Kiersten White, Katelyn Mrozowski and Reagan White. Reagan White also added an assist in the win, showcasing a strong all-around performance.
Additional assists came from Ella McVicker and Emily Tigchelaar, as the Warriors moved the ball well and capitalized on scoring opportunities throughout the game.
“We played with great energy and really executed in the attacking third,” head coach [Insert Name] said. “It was a complete team effort, and I’m proud of how the girls responded tonight.”
With the victory, Lincoln-Way West improved its overall record to 5-5 on the season and evened its conference record at 2-2. The Warriors will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup as they continue pushing for a strong finish in conference play.
Stagg, which entered the game with momentum, struggled to keep up with West’s fast pace and ball movement, conceding multiple second-half goals.
Lincoln-Way West’s next game is scheduled for later this week.
