Lincoln-Way West’s varsity lacrosse team delivered a commanding 9-1 victory over Normal Community High School on April 19, controlling the game from start to finish.
Four Warriors each netted two goals, showcasing a balanced offensive attack that kept Normal’s defense on its heels throughout the matchup. Meanwhile, the Lincoln-Way West defense was nearly impenetrable, allowing just one goal and effectively shutting down any offensive push from the visitors.
Coach Jackson praised the team’s performance, highlighting both execution and composure. “It was a strong team effort all around,” Jackson said. “Our guys managed the game well from the first whistle to the last.”
The win improves Lincoln-Way West’s momentum as they prepare for their next contest. The Warriors return to their home field on Wednesday, April 23, when they host Downers Grove South in what promises to be another exciting matchup.
With strong contributions on both ends of the field, Lincoln-Way West continues to build confidence heading into the heart of the season. The team hopes to carry this intensity and cohesion into upcoming games as they aim to maintain their winning form.
